Two maidens stand beneath forested tree. Surrounded by bud and seed, stem and leaf, they thrive amongst the abundance of life. Such is the gesso panel which graces the cover of our infamous Company Book. On the surface, the book is a catalog of our extant frieze paintings; but beneath the layers there lies a symbolic book telling a tale of night and day, sun and moon, season and year, and ultimately, life and destiny.
