Night Gliding celebrates our winged friends of the night. In Far Eastern cultures, including Japan, bats are celebrated as harbingers of good luck, and are seen as a symbol of a long and healthy life. Western art history has also championed the bat: the Arts & Crafts movement, the Aesthetic movement, and the artists of the Art Nouveau all embraced the bat as a symbol of luck and prosperity.
